Vision Released 2006
The solid roots sound beneath the words is what takes Give And Take to another level. With nearly an hour's worth of music, you're certainly not cheated either...

Another loaf of bread for the hungry. Listening to a true master musician and reggae ambassador supreme.
After his previous great album Give and Take in 2004, it is with a lot of expectation that we are discovering Vision, the 6th solo album of Clinton Fearon. The doubts quickly disappear while listening to the 1st track Livin' is an Art. Gladiators ex-bassist was telling us during an interview that he never stops composing songs. We can easily imagine that the songs (of Vision) where already written when Give and Take had been released. Recorded in Seattle with the Boogie Brown Band, Vision sounds like the second chapter of Give and Take. In Give and Take, Clinton Fearon was giving a conscious message whereas in Vision he is giving a message focused on positiveness with lyrics full of hope (Jah Know His People, Run Come Rally, Love's Knockin'). On his previous album, Clinton Fearon is playing guitar when on this new album Clinton is coming back to the paying bass-line. For this occasion, Clinton asked Nelson Miller (Burning Spear Drummer) and famous singers such as Ire (ex Culture) and Winston Watson of the Meditations to help him out. The results are great like for the songs Dutty Gun, Sleeping Lion and Feellin' The Same. Allways looking for new sound texture, Fearon mixes instruments rarely used in Reggae like the flute or the violon on Livin is an Art. He also gives lots of importance to the horns and the pick guitar. Clinton is one of the last making new (music) with old stuff.
